Applied Neurophysiology

Lisa Tataryn, BCN, is a Clinical Neuroscience Specialist focused on EEG-based analysis of neurodegenerative patterns and their clinical interpretation in dementia and Parkinsonian syndromes. She brings two decades of experience integrating electrophysiological pattern analysis and functional brain–behavior models to support clinical understanding of cognitive decline and complex neurocognitive presentations.

Her work centers on translating advanced EEG findings into structured, clinically relevant frameworks for physicians and interdisciplinary care teams. She has extensive experience reviewing electrophysiological data, with attention to cortical slowing patterns, network-level dysfunction, and early cognitive decline markers that inform, but do not replace, medical diagnosis.

An upcoming Elsevier author (2026), Lisa, contributes to the scientific dialogue on neuromodulation, neuroplasticity, and EEG‑guided interventions. She is a frequent speaker for medical groups, Parkinson’s organizations, and professional conferences, where she presents emerging research on EEG biomarkers, differential patterns across dementia subtypes, and the clinical utility and limitations of electrophysiological tools in cognitive assessment.

Her work is grounded in scientific rigor, ethical practice, and a commitment to improving clarity, communication, and care pathways for individuals navigating cognitive change.
